Incorporating Games and Game Mechanics without Losing Rigor
People like to play. Incorporating game mechanics into your class can improve student engagement and deepen student understanding. Participants in this workshop will learn the basics of game mechanics and specific strategies to incorporate games and gamification into your classroom.

Things to know -

·   Workshop registration does not include breakfast or lunch. Please feel free to bring your own food and beverage or visit the CREC Central Café (111 Charter Oak Ave.) which offers a variety of breakfast and lunch options with daily specials.

·   Bring a refillable water bottle and/or beverage.

·   Bring a laptop or other electronic device (some workshops require only laptop) for note taking and access to online resources.

·   Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the workshop.

·   Sometimes workshop room temperatures can vary so we suggest you dress in layers.

·   Please check the CREC website or your local TV station for any delay/closing information.
