Teaching & Responding with IM 6–8 Math Curriculum: Year 2/3 Users
This advanced two-day onsite event brings teachers and coaches together with an Illustrated Math (IM) certified facilitator for a series of units. Participants gain firsthand experience and fluency with the IM curriculum. Participants will: **Take a level two deep dive into the five practices with scenario discussions. **Discover the value of cool-downs as a tool for identifying opportunities for improvement in instructional planning. **Learn how diagrams and representations support student understanding. **Use PLC protocols to establish processes that encourage collaboration and productivity.

Notes

Things to know -

  • Workshop registration does not include breakfast or lunch. Please feel free to bring your own food and beverage or visit the CREC Central Café (111 Charter Oak Ave.) which offers a variety of breakfast and lunch options with daily specials.
  • Bring a refillable water bottle and/or beverage.
  • Bring a laptop or other electronic device (some workshops require only laptop) for note taking and access to online resources.
  • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the workshop.
  • Sometimes workshop room temperatures can vary so we suggest you dress in layers.
  • Please check the CREC website or your local TV station for any delay/closing information.
