Teaching and Learning with IM 6-8 Curriculum
During this four-day virtual event, teachers and coaches will be guided by an IM Certified facilitator to gain first-hand experience and fluency with the IM 6-8 curricula. The 2-hour virtual sessions are combined with opportunities to watch videos, reflect, prepare, and ask questions asynchronously.
Objectives
Participants will understand the following aspects of the IM curricula: structure of an IM lesson, available assessment resources and their purposes, establishing routines, supports for English Language Learners and students with disabilities, how to organize and plan for Unit 1, and techniques for setting classroom norms that support problem-based learning.
