RESC Alliance - Culturally Responsive Pedagogy Pathway
In this five part pathway series, participants in this pathway will: 1) Bolster capacity in cultural competency, inclusivity, and instructional equity; 2) Develop and expand capacity to support integrating dimensions of multicultural education and culturally relevant teaching and learning practices; 3) Build the capacity to lead the development of curriculum and instructional plans that ensure broad, diverse perspectives and viewpoints in educational programs and departments; 4) Explore designing instructional “Look For’s” when evaluating teachers and ensuring cultural competency when selecting text/materials. Session content: 1) Foundations of Equity in Education; 2) Culturally Responsive Curriculum & Assessment Practices; 3) Culturally Responsive Instructional Practices; 4) Coaching and Supervising Culturally Responsive Practices; and 5) Action Planning. Note: Workshop Series held at ACES, Hamden, CT
