LITERACY MINI-COURSE Supporting the Young Reader: Phonics to Fluency in the Montessori Environment (ONLINE)
Montessori Training Center Northeast (MTCNE) is offering the LITERACY MINI-COURSE Supporting the Young Reader: Phonics to Fluency in the Montessori Environment. This mini-course is ONLINE and will cover how to teach literacy using Montessori materials and techniques. Discussions will include scope and sequence, intervention strategies, and supporting the emergent reader from Primary to Elementary. Please join our discussions. Share your knowledge and experience. Bring your questions, and learn from colleagues.
Objectives
This course will: •Give you an overview of the Montessori Language Area •Introduce interventions for the elementary child •Help you support literacy development for the young child •Align Science of Reading with Montessori •Introduce individual student planning, intervention and progress monitoring
