Professional Learning Community: Strategies for Multilingual Learners (ELs) Series
Join a professional learning community that will explore a variety of ways to support Multilingual Learners (ELs) and foster language development in a six-session series! This PLC will meet virtually once a month for an hour and a half to delve deep into a language support strategy topic. Participants will have the opportunity to implement the strategy in practice in between sessions. As part of the PLC, they will network and collaborate with each other as they reflect on and fine-tune strategy implementation. PLC Schedule: September 28- Student Talk and Interaction; October 26- Vocabulary; November 30- Translanguaging; January 25- Facilitating Comprehension; February 29- Check for Understanding; March 28- Build and Activate Background Knowledge
