Bridge to Kindergarten Series: Social Emotional Learning in the PK/K Classroom
In this session, participants will discuss social emotional learning in Pre-K and Kindergarten. Specific attention will be given to tools and techniques for supporting children's SEL in Pre-K, Kindergarten, and beyond, including the use of the Pyramid Model to support SEL development. Intended audience: Pre-K and Kindergarten teachers.
Objectives
Participants will: 1. Identify the developmentally appropriate SEL needs of children in each age /grade level. 2. Describe SEL strategies and their application in the early learning classroom. 3. Incorporate at least two new strategies to support SEL development in the early learning classroom."
