What Am I Seeing? Developmentally Appropriate Practice for School Administrators
This session will support school administrators with understanding DAP through the lens of the CT Rubric for Effective Teaching (or other observation tool). Throughout the session, we will draw lines between the CCT, the CCSS, the CT ELDS, and the CT DOTS to identify high quality teaching and learning practices.
Objectives
Participants will:1. Draw connections between the CCT, the CT ELDS, and the CT DOTS in order to identify high quality teaching and learning in early elementary classrooms;2. Explain how DAP incorporates learning standards and cognitive rigor in early elementary classrooms.
